Safety on the internet

In present-day society, as we all know, the internet plays an important role because it is an essential source of information and an easy way of communication. Also, big companies operate via internet. The safety problem arises when the user depends too much on the internet, in his day-to-day activity. Then, he posts valuable information that, once stolen by hackers, can cause significant financial and moral damages. All these are happening because the Internet network is not secured at a high level, but only superficially.

In my opinion, the users are the most vulnerable when they start using internet subjectively. An example would be that: users become friends with strangers via internet, via social networks (like Facebook) and start sharing personal information with them. So, this is the easiest way for hackers to steal information.

My advice for the people around the world would be this: to use internet more for entertainment and less for friendship and relationships. Also, for companies, my advice is: for your own good try to be old-fashioned, and depend less on internet in your work.

In a different context, the internet should be seen as a sign of the evolution of society, because you can, in exchange for a small price, communicate with friends who live in other places, near or at distance, you can get information for your homework (it is well known that internet is an important source of information, even if the information isn’t true every time).

Concluding, the internet is a double-edged blade, able to product enormous benefits, but also long-lasting damages... Now it’s up to us!
